Setting Up a Windows 95 Dial-Up Networking Connection to connect to the Internet with MoonStarStep 1:Double click on My Computer, double click on Dial-Up Networking, and then double click on the Make New Connection - Select this link to see a screen shot Step 2:In the Type a name for the computer you are dialing: field enter MoonStar, in the Select a modem: field your modem should already be listed then click Next - Select this link to see a screen shot Step 3:In the Area code field enter 434, in the Telephone number field enter 392 7670, in the Country code: field make sure United States of America is selected, then click Next - Select this link to see a screen shot Step 4:It will now say You have successfully created a new Dial-Up Networking connection called MoonStar ... click Finish - Select this link to see a screen shot Step 5:There will now be an icon in the Dial-Up Networking folder called MoonStar - Select this link to see a screen shot Step 6:Click on the MoonStar icon with the right hand button of your mouse and select Properties - Select this link to see a screen shot Step 7:Click the button marked Server Type - Select this link to see a screen shot Step 8:Only Enable software compression and TCP/IP should be checked. If anything else is checked, uncheck it and then click on the button marked TCP/IP Settings... - Select this link to see a screen shot Step 9:Server assigned IP address and Server assigned name server addresses should be selected. Use IP header compression and Use default gateway on remote network should both be checked.
